This workshop introduced experienced engineers enrolled in the short professional Project and Site Management course at L’Institut de Formation Professionnelle des Conducteurs de Travaux to the transformative role of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern construction site management. It covered advanced BIM and AI concepts, their integration into project workflows, and their impact on planning, coordination, execution, and real-time decision-making. Through hands-on exercises, participants explored how these technologies can enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, improve cost control, and streamline site operations.
The workshop also highlighted research and innovation opportunities, helping participants identify niche areas such as automated site monitoring, AI-driven risk prediction, digital twin applications, and real-time project analytics. Discussions focused on how BIM and AI enable data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and innovation in site and project management.
The session concluded with strategic insights on implementing BIM and AI in project and site management to improve productivity, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. Additionally, it explored career development opportunities, emphasizing how mastering these technologies can significantly enhance employability and career progression in construction projects and site management.
