CAR REDD+ Strategy to reduce deforestation finalized

The National REDD+ Strategy report, funded by the World Bank’s Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) and prepared by Fokabs in collaboration with Arbonaut and CIEDD, presents a national vision, objective, principles, and programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in Central African Republic (CAR).

The Strategy report proposes an action plan that constitute four emission reduction programmes to be implemented in the agriculture, forestry, mining, and sustainable land management sectors. The report wraps up by outlining technical, institutional, and management guidance to ensure successful implementation.
